My old Nintendo Life colleague Phil "Chicken Brutus" Reed has let me know there's a game development conference and award show happening at Westwood College in Anaheim this Saturday, the 25th of June.
If you have any interest in pursuing a career in the field or just a deeper interest in gaming generally, this seems worthwhile. There's going to be talks featuring representatives from notable outfits like WayForward Games, Sony Computer Entertainment, Blizzard and Realities Unlimited among others as well as hands-on time with games, workshops and a chance to talk directly to people you could be working with in future if you're determined enough.
